Defining a New Field for the Social Work Profession: Church Social Work

Listen to this sample of Diana Garland  talking about Church Social Work originally recorded on October 22, 2011. Twenty minute audio samples of NACSW podcasts are available to anyone while the full length podcast is available only to members.

Podcast Summary: Most of the thinking of our profession about religion and spirituality has been about the religion and spirituality of individuals, and sometimes by extension, of families. The church is a context for social work practice, however, and NACSW needs to be about defining that field of practice. This session will explore the growing field of “congregational social work.”
